Halloween is almost here!! It is truly one of my favorite holidays...what am I saying??? I love them all. But, this one is especially fun for the grandbabies and I really get into their fantasies! Today I'm sharing a lo of my sweet grandson, Chase. He is carving pumpkins with his Daddy, Tim, my fabulous son-in-law. These photos were taken 2 years ago, hard to believe that he was that little.
It's been raining here in Anchorage like crazy with some really dark skies, so I may have manipulated the color toooo much, but you get the gist of the lo.
I started with the background paper using the Authentique "Moonlit" paper included in the Coordinating Paper add on. Just love the texture of this cardstock!! I misted the bottom of the paper with Lindy's Stamp Gang's "Jazzy Jivin Purple" mist which is included in the Main Kit. I misted the top with Lindy's "Mango Mania" which I got in a previous kit. Then I used one of the new stencils by Gabrielle Pollacco across the top of the lo and Prima's Chalk Fluid in black. I think it gave a really creepy vibe.......I then stamped the background and splattered black ink.
We got this really cool chipboard from Blue Fern in the Elements Add On, which I covered in the Black Glass Glitter also included in the Elements Add On.
I got these adorable cat chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments and jut knew they would be adorable on this lo. I used the Stampendous "Aged Black Embossing Enamel" that came in the Color Add On. Just love how it changes when heated.
In the Pattern Paper Add On is a really cool G45 paper with owls all over it. I fussy cut one of the owls, applied the black glitter with gel medium, and added two jewels for the eyes.
I double matted my photos and determined where I wanted them to go on the layout. Before gluing them down I cut pieces of cheesecloth to go under the photos. I think it gives a little wispy, creepy feel. Once I got the photos and chipboard in place, I started having fun with the embellishments. I used these adorable orange and black flowers from the Floral Add On. I sprinkled some microbeads and glitter on them to get some shine. Just love how they turned out.
I used another little chipboard piece from the G45 "Rare Oddities" collection that was included in the Main Kit. Then I sprinkled the black and some orange glitter in various places around the lo and then added a few little jewels for more bling. C'est Fini!!
