Happy Winter! Don't you just love it! Course, I live in Alaska, so it's a great time of the year!
I am sharing a lo that I just created using our new kit. This kit is winterlicious featuring Bo Bunny's "Sleigh Ride" and "White Out" collections. It is soooooooo fabulous. Here is another photo of my sweet Grandson's Chase and Cameron with their Momma, my beautiful daughter, Jennifer. It was taken in 2012 on a sledding and snow machine trip to the county.
I started with a sheet of corrugated card and ripped a piece of paper from the Main Kit downwards to create a sledding hill affect. I roughed up a piece of lace from a previous kit to give it a rustic look and glued it to the background of the paper. Once that was adhered, I used Lindy's "Afternoon Denim Delight" to give the background a hint of blue. I then used watered down gesso and splattered it all over the lo to create snow coming down. I used a Prima stencil from a Scraps of Elegance previous kit and Bo Bunny's Glitter Paste "Silver" on the background to add sparkled and dimension.
The photo was matted with 3 different mats. The first was paper from the Paper Add-On, the second mat was white cardstock that was punched with a Martha Stewart punch, the 3rd was a brown cardstock. I tucked in a sticker cut in half from the sticker sheet in the Main Kit. I also punched a snowflake to tuck in at the top left hand corner.
I used a die that was included in the Elements Add-On which I just love in the top right hand corner. I covered it with Stickles that I rubbed on and inserted it into the flower cluster. The flowers were from the Main Kit and my stash.
I cut out a sentiment printed on a paper from in the Coordinating Paper Add-On and glued it above the main flower collage in the left corner of the photo. I used the large snowflake as a base for my flower cluster. It is a Bo Bunny sticker from the Elements Add-On. I then started having fun with the flower cluster using various flowers from my stash, which came from previous kits. I also added little pearls to the snowflake that are included in the Main Kit. I cut some little berry branches and tucked them into the cluster. The little wooden star is from my stash.
I fussy cut the trees on the bottom right side of the photo from the Coordinating Paper Add-On and adhered it on top of a piece of cheesecloth to mimic snow. I added the word "Joy" from the Bo Bunny sticker sheet in the Main Kit. I covered the trees with the Glass Glitter included in the Elements Add-On. I also dabbed a little gesso on them.
I also covered the trees on the left hand side of the paper with the glitter using matte gel medium. The large wooden snowflakes on the left side are from my stash. I used the pearls for their centers that came from the Main Kit. Once that everything was glued down, I covered various pieces with gesso, glitter, and microbeads (from my stash).
