My Last Layout for 2015!!

Happy New Year Dear Friends!!!

I so hope that your Holiday Season was filled with joy, love, and just plain fun!!  We had a wonderful time with the Grandbabies, Daughter, Son-In-Law, Son, and hubby!

I have my last layout (lo) to share today using the Scraps of Darkness December kit “Wilma’s Winter Wishes”.  It is truly with sadness that I say goodbye to this gorgeous kit.  There are so many possibilities.  Anyway, the photo is of the trees in my backyard.  I have such a view!!!  We haven’t had this kind of snow for the past 2 years, this photo was taken 3 years ago.

For the background I used the Bo Bunny paper included in the Coordinating Paper Add-On, distressed the edges, and stamped around the area for my photo.  I also added some white splatters to mimic snow using watered-down gesso.

I used the large silver snowflakes I got at a local hobby store in various places to give a silvery, snowy look to the layout.  I used some lace flowers that were included in the November Scraps of Elegance Elements Add-On (still available) kit, along with some lace across the bottom of the photo.  In the center of the lace flower I used another flower that came from the Scraps of Darkness Floral Add-On.

I cut a doily from a Prima die, cut it in half and placed on both sides of the photo.

I created a flower cluster at the bottom left of the photo.  First I cut a holly flourish, then layered various flowers.  I used the large poinsettia flower trimmed with silver that was part of the Floral Add-On.  I also used the Petaloo Botanica white flower which was also part of the Floral Add-On.  I used gel medium and sprinkled some silver microbeads from my stash all over many of the flowers.  The silver flowers were from previous kits.

To create the cluster at the top left I first cut 2 flourishes with the die included in the Elements Add-On.  Just love that die.  I then adhered two silvery flowers (from older kits) and the Christmas Tree, which came from the Scraps of Elegance December Creativity Add-On.

I used gel medium to sprinkle some silver microbeads in several places around the layout.  I also used 3 florescent glitter snowflakes that were included in the Creativity Add-On.

I love winter, so this layout was a real joy to make.  I hope you enjoyed it.  Scraps of Darkness sells their kits at:
