I really can't get enough of this kit from SOD!!! It is chocked full of Graphics 45 "Sea Voyage" collection and Kaisercraft's "Mermaid's Tail" collection. On this lo I am using the Kaisercraft paper. The photos are of my Grandsons walking on the beach at low tide and playing in all the mud. We don't have sand, per se, just glacier silt that has dropped on the ocean floor. It's really messy, and dangerous. You can get stuck in it real easily. Anyway, back to the boys! I just adore the largest picture of them dancing up a storm! They are so precious and adorable sometimes.
As I mentioned, the background paper is from Kaisercraft's "Mermaid Tails" collection. It's not showing up very well in the picture, but I did spray some Lindy's Stamp Gang Ink mist in a soft turquoise. I cut various strips of paper from the Main Kit and Coordinating Paper Add-On 1 1/2" wide by 6 inches long. I staggered them across the page. Next, I stamped around the strips with a bubble looking stamp. I matted the photos with another Kaisercraft paper from the Add-On.
Before I glued down the photos I used some Blue Fern Studio chipboard that came in a previous kit to look like bubbles coming up from the water. I painted them with Lumiere silver metallic paint. I sprinkled those sweet Prills which came in the Creativity Add-On. I also popped in some jewels from my stash. There are 3 round word sayings which I painted yellow and glued to the silver chipboard.
I have had these bright yellow epoxy arrows in my stash for a long time. I used them along the bottom and top of the photos. Don't you just love it when you can use something that you have had forever?
Under the far right photo I used a chipboard tag from G45 that came in the Elements Add-on. Underneath it I used a Tim Holtz clasp and chain to hook onto the anchor.
I cut out an image from the G45 paper, edged it with some periwinkle lace which came in last month's kit. I cut up a phrase that was in the selvage of one of the Kaisercraft papers. Then I created a little flower cluster using yellow burlap roses from the Floral Add-on. The little blue flower came from my stash. I sprinkled Prills on it to blend with the lo. The tiny little flowers in the right corner of the image are included in the Floral Add-On.
I had in my stash this sweet little chipboard turtle. I painted him in 2 different colors using the Lumiere "Citrine" and "Halo Blue Gold" which is in the creativity Add-On. I glued another one of the sweet flowers from the Floral Add-On onto his back. Then I sprinkled lots more of the Prills around him to look like bubbles created when he is swimming to the surface.
