Hello Paper Peeps!!! Sorry I haven't gotten back sooner. I'm still recovering from this awful crud. And, on top of that my old back injury has reared its ugly head! I've been in la-la land with all the fun drugs they have given me LOL!!
Now to the fun stuff! I'm sharing today my latest layout (lo) featuring my gorgeous daughter, who is one of the original "Leather Honeys". Isn't she amazing? The title of the lo is Leather and Lace.
I have used the incredible Scraps of Darkness September kit "Blush" which is filled to the brim with the Prima "Rossibelle" and "Vintage Emporium" collections. Can you say yummy?? There are die cuts, every flower that matches the kit, chipboard, etc. It's a real treasure.
Starting with the background paper from the Rossibelle collection which is splotched and dotted with this incredible coppery metallic finish. It's hard to photograph, but IRL it is stunning. I cut a slit down the middle of the page and glued an old zipper with lace that I had on hand. On top of the zipper I used this cool trim that came in a previous SOD kit.
Next, I used a piece of a chipboard frame from my stash, cut a piece out of it, and adhered "White Opal" Perfect Pearls. I got this idea from the fabulously talented Tina Ollette. I really like how it looks all sculpted.
I glued down a doily behind the chipboard frame in the center. I matted my 2photos. Next I created various flower clusters and tucked in tons of diecuts and chipboard from the Main and Elements Add-On. I used flowers from the Main kit and the Florals Add-On as well. On top of the flowers I added a little glitter, which came in an older kit. I also sprinkled the glitter around on different elements of the lo.
I tucked in some buttons that were perfect for the lo, as well as a little black feather, both came in previous kits. At the bottom left side is a little black chalkboard tag which has the Leather Honey written on it. The little tag came in the Main Kit, along with some chalk.
At the top right side I looped a piece of black lace and let drape down the side of the photo. I also tucked in some white leaves using the Prima die cut.
You can also see the little gems I added around the lo. They always add a really nice touch.
So, that's it for this lo, which was so much fun to make. Thank you for visiting me today. I hope that you will stop back real soon. Also, don't forget that you can purchase the SOD and Scraps of Elegance kits at http://www.scrapsofdarkness.com/kits/?sort=alphaasc
Have an awesome week!
