Mountain Men

Hi All!!  I am sharing another DT layout using the Scraps of Darkness May kit "Attic Finds".  What a fun kit full of 7 Gypsies and Authenique paper collections.  For this project I chose to feature some of the men in my life.  I call this layout "Mountain Men" cause they are sitting in the woods somewhere camping on the mountain.  That's my Dad and 3 brothers.  Don't they look scruffy!!!  The picture is  really bad, but the memories are priceless!

I chose a 7 Gypsies paper for the foundation and used the Authenique brother leather design paper for second layer.  Next I used a Tim Holtz stencil and then painted Lindy's ink to simulate the sky.

I ripped some photo mats from 2 different 7 Gypsies papers and layered a ripped piece of corrugated cardboard (on the bottom).  I found this wired twine-wrapped embellishment at the local craft store, which I attached around the photo.

On the sides of the photo mats I die cut some foliage from another 7 Gypsies' paper from the Main kit.  Next, I used some Creative Embellishment fern chipboards, which I embossed with 2 different embossing powders to give the clusters some variation.

Yes, that is moss peeking out from the bottom sides of the photo.  On top of it and the ferns I added some Petaloo flowers from last months kit.  They look like the same flowers the guys are sitting on in the photo, though I think those flowers are dandelions LOL!

For my title I used the Alphabet Thicker Stickers included in the Elements Add On.  You can really see the word "mountain", but have to look for the teeny "men" letters underneath.

Here is a side view of the layout so you can see all the dimension.

So glad that you stopped by....until next time.....
