Scraps of Darkness, May - Attic Finds

It's me again with my last layout using the Scraps of Darkness May Kit "Attic Finds".  I wanted to create a Clean and Simple (CAS) layout to showcase this precious photo of my Grandson, Chase, age 3.  Such a photogenic child, and adorable as he can be.

I used two Authenique papers from the Coordinating Paper Add On for my background, perfect for the photo.  I stenciled and splattered ink around the focal area to add some brightness and depth.

I cut a large mat from the 7 Gypsies paper from the Coordinating Paper Add On (light blue).  I just adore the Tim Holtz Ephemera die cuts from the Main Kit.  I decided I wanted to play with them all around the photo and layout.  The air mail theme worked really well for the colors and masculine feel.  The number 3 represents how hold he is in this photo and was fussy cut from a 7 Gypsies paper in the Coordinating Paper Add On.

The circle chipboard at the top left of the photo is from Creative Embellishments.  I painted it with Garnet paint from Art Alchemy from a previous kit.

Here is a side view of one of the collages where I tucked in a little twine bow to add some movement.

And last, I used a 2 Crafty chipboard for the title, which I painted in a lovely shade of pearl.

I don't usually buy any paints, inks, embossing powders, etc., I always get them in my kits.  I have quite a collection, and you can too by subscribing to the Scraps of Darkness or Scraps of Elegance monthly kits and Add Ons.  You will be so happy you did.  Till next time!
