Creative Embellishments - February Post "Jamaican Wedding"

Dear Scrappy Friends!!  I am down with the flu this week, so this blog will be a little shorter than normal, but I am so excited to share one of my favorite layouts, I think, of my dear, sweet niece Samantha on her wedding day in Jamaica last month.  She is radiant, and sooooo young.  All of her pictures are so wonderful, I had a hard time deciding which one to use first!!!  I thought this one would be the most perfect for Valentine's Day.

I used the new Mintay "Birdsong" paper collection for her layout since her wedding colors were a very pale pinkish, nudish color.  There is a lot of fussy cutting of flowers and birds and butterflies, etc. all over the layout.  I had so much fun.

That absolutely gorgeous, and chipboard lacy CE Heart Dangle on the right side of the is so elegant and divine.  I heat embossed it with Stampendous Shabby Pink that has little gold specks in it.  It is such a soft pink and does not photograph very well, but looks incredible against the background paper.

Her dress was a solid piece of stretch lace much like the lace I used horizontally in the center of the page.

I chose the Rectangle Flourish Frame 1 for my photo and used the same embossing powder.  It is definitely a WOW against that photo!

The printed images on the paper included greenery that looks the same as the Fern Foliage 3 .  I had a Lindy's embossing powder in the pale green that matched perfectly and I just inked around the edges with a rust chalk ink.  I tucked them in here and there in amongst the flowers around the frame.  Just adds a little something extra I think.

Here's another shot.

Can you find the little butterfly?????

And finally here’s one showing all the fussy cutting I did.  Hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoyed sharing.  Thank you so much for stopping by.
