Creative Embellishments December Post "Winter Wonderland"

Hello Scrappy Friends from the Far North!!!  Yes, it is winter in Alaska, finally!  And, yes we had a BIG earthquake, and yes, it has all but consumed us, but we are trying to get into the spirit with a little scrapping.  My heritage is Scandinavian (Swedish), so when I saw this adorable photo, I knew it was perfect for my Christmas layout collection.

I started by using an old paper collection from Bo Bunny that has wonderful vellum images of silvery trees and snowflakes, a winter wonderland!!!!  I heavily embossed several CE snowflakes of all different sizes using Ranger's "Snowflake Tinsel" Embossing Powder.  Love the glittery effect!!!

These pictures really do not do justice to all the glitter and shine that radiate from those snowflakes!!!

Next I create some flower clusters at the corners of the photos and inserted that gorgeous holly and berry flourish which I embossed with Blue Fern Studios "Forest" and painted the teeny, tiny berries red.  You can hardly see the berries to paint them (looks like I missed one on the bottom).  This flourish is so intricately cut and beautifully detailed.  It has definitely become a new favorite chipboard piece for me.

Here are the photos of the chipboard I used.

Here is a list of the Creative Embellishments Chipboard pieces that I used:

Chipboard Snowflakes

Large Snowflakes

Holly and Berry Flourish

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Here is to a very Happy Holiday Season from me to you!!!  Stay warm and safe!  Merry Christmas!
