Creative Embellishments - March Post "She Did It Her Way"

Hello dear friends!  This is Kathy back with you today to share another layout for the CE Design Team.  This layout features my stunning sister Carol, who is 11 years younger than me.  Isn't she gorgeous!!!!!

She has the bluest eyes, and blue is her fave color so it wasn't hard to pick out Prima's Georgia Blue collection for her layout.  Carol has a gorgeous voice and plays the piano beautifully.  Music has a special place in her heart, so I wanted to use the Music Note Border 2 in the layout.  I divided the page following the lines of the border and used another paper underneath with a piece of lace tucked underneath.  The chipboard was treated with a brass/gold acrylic paint.  Carol loves bling, so I popped on some bluish gems onto the notes so they would stand out.

Next I layered mats beyond the photo and inserted the Love Heart Arrow Frame offset to the side of the photo.  I heat embossed the photo with white embossing powder, rubbed gold wax onto it, then rubbed white metallic paint lightly onto it.  To keep the frame popped up I tucked flowers under where I placed flower clusters .

There are lots of little phrases that are scattered around the page that have special meaning to Carol and I as sisters.  The title is truly significant and is very meaningful of how she has lived her life.  I used the title Imagine Quote - "She decided to start living the life she imagined".  So like Carol!!.  I used a wax in turquoise to give it a little color and love it.

Hope you enjoyed my tribute to my wonderful sis!!  She is truly an amazing person, and I love her so much!  Be sure to visit again and until then......
